I can see the logic in a system like Obarth suggests. If an armor piece drops, no one below its requirement can roll Need until/unless all potential users of it have Passed. Like say a piece of Plate drops. No clothie/leathery/mailie can roll Need unless/until all the Plate Wearers have Passed, to ensure some mage(or rogue or hunter or whatever) doesn't need-ninja away a piece of plate that he definitely can't use. That couldn't be hard to implement, and no one could cry bs, since it's ensuring no one of the correct armor type is losing the item to someone who can't use it.
I wouldn't risk it on the Loot System judging your spec though. Armor type maybe, but not talent spec.
