I don't remember a precise moment when WoW just "clicked," it was more generalized than that.Back during BC, I had already been playing half-assed since launch, I decided to switch servers and start fresh. I rolled my first Shaman, climbed up to 50s, as I had done many times before, not really caring much. It was around that time that I finally stopped and actually started reading the quest text, and I found myself empathizing with some of the stories in the Plaguelands. Without really meaning to, I found myself nodding to the quest givers and /crying at some of the more depressing moments, and generally treating the characters as I treated other players. I haven't been half-assed since. The fact that my Shaman was also the first character I had that I got into a guild that matched my personality and play-style since I had started. I'm sure that helped... ^_^
