Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any good advise for a leveling enhancement Shaman. I've been really enjoying the play style, but there are some things I've had a very difficult time finding any information on online. One thing I'm wondering about is a few of the talents in the fifth and sixth tiers of the tree. I know that talents like Mental Dexterity, Weapons Mastery, and Unleashed Rage are useful, but I can't tell how much good they'll do at low levels while leveling. Which of those are the best use of my talent points while soloing? Also, I could go back down the tree and put points in Enhancing Totems. What will do me the most good?Another thing I haven't really been able to find anything on is good glyphs for solo. What's the best use of my glyph slots? I currently just have Glyph of Lightning Shield on, because it was cheap and seemed to make sense to me, given how much I use that ability. I keep hearing that Glyph of Windfury Weapons has been nerfed pretty hard. Is 2% not worth a slot, even when just soloing? And what're some worthwhile minor glyphs? I was planning on getting one of the ones to eliminate the reagent cost of a spell. Or does Ghost Wolf make sense? Finally, how big a priority should it be for me to get one of those totem relics? From what I saw on WoWHead, it looked like there was one or two available in some of the higher end old world dungeons. Is it worthwhile to try running those, or should I just go to Outland? It looks like there's one available for exchange for Honor Hold marks; is that a worthwhile one to aim for, or should I look elsewhere?

Until it changes in 3.1 it's Unleashed Rage isn't worth five points until you're running max level instances or raiding. There are just more important things to use them on.It's changing in 3.1 to grant you 3-6-9 expertise (a free 2.25% dodge/parry reduction) and 4-7-10% ap bonus on crit. After that it'll become a way more valuable talent for soloing. Until then, stick with Mental Dexterity and Weapon Mastery if you're trying to choose. As far as glyphs go, yes the 2% proc rate for windfury is helpful even if you're running a WF/FT setup. If you're running dual WF, even more so.For max level glyphs (ignoring spell power setups) it goes Glyph of Windfury > Glyph of Stormstrike > Glyph of Lightning shield. I have no idea how the math works out on a mid-level shaman though. They're most likely all pretty comparable until you get to a higher level.Just my $0.02PS. For me, the WF/FT combo only surpasses WF/WF after I had hit level 80 and started gearing up. I went to the "boss level" target dummy and did extensive testing a couple of times, and when FT finally came ahead as the offhand imbue, it was pretty clear -- I saw a good 300+ jump in DPS, which jumped even higher with the Glyphed 2% spell crit you get from having FT on the OH.While I was only leveling from 70 to 80 (my shaman is my main) I'm inclined to believe WF/WF will still be the better combo while leveling, 'cause without gem slots and multi-stat gear you're not going to have enough SP and spell crit to justify the bonus of FT.As for the talent points, I agree with Scott -- Weapon Mastery and Mental Dexterity are worth a lot more than Unleashed Rage as you're leveling. And regarding relics -- you can get a level 80 friend to run you through some TBC heroics to get Stonebreaker's Totem, which is still the best-in-slot aside from the nearly-unattainable PvP totems, or you can do some quests for rare totems. There are a couple decent ones out there that you can use in the low 60s, if you spend some time in Outland. Good luck.

OK, so I've been leveling an enhance shaman for about two weeks now and I feel totally qualified to give you leveling advice. First of all, YOU SHOULD BE USING WATER SHIELD!I quite literally go levels without taking a drink.Second, get the water shield glyph. The extra charge is a great convenience. The only time I use totems is on boss mob pulls, so save your mana and talents. Here's what my build will look like at 80 from leveling:http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hVMNqZ0xgIoxzGIkzfotBetween imp water shield and shamanistic rage, I hardly ever have to stop other than to refresh my well fed buff :)As far as majro glyphs go, I'm using Stormstrike and Shocking ( cuts GCD on shocks to .5 seconds )Minor: Water shield and the one that removes the reagent cost for reincarnation.Furthermore, don't be afraid to ask your friends for instance runs, your bags will thank you the sooner you get a totem.
