The next four times they got old pretty quickly. Moreover, it made more sense back when one needed a LOT more questing and XP to level than one does now. One could see nearly all the level-appropriate zones, and you'd be more likely to hit all the zones they were asking you to do quests in and get books from. For instance: except for the Expert Cook book in Shadowprey Village, I otherwise completely skipped Desolace.
I understand wanting to feel like you've earned something, though. I think that's why they replaced the cooking quest with one that gives you a new recipe. On the other hand, one has already spent a lot of time simply leveling your cooking skill...
