Breakfast Topic: Vanity Items

I know it's a silly RPer thing, but I try to pay some attention to how my characters look in game. For example, I still haven't gotten the Shave and a Haircut achievement on my Death Knight because I think he looks pretty cool and very much like he should as a character and I'm having a hard time changing it, even for an achievement.
Another thing I do as a result of this is do varied and esoteric quests to get gear that MIGHT look good on me conceivably. Some day. Possibly. My Hunter has a full set of black leather armor in case she ever has to, I don't know, join an RP night stealth strike force, I suppose, and a torch in case she needs to lead an angry mob or something. It's a little obsession.
Still, there's a few vanity items I'm still trying to track down. For example, I'm still trying to find a pair of solid blue jeans. Rancher's Trousers come first, but they're shorts and whatnot. Of course, what I really want, I am pretty sure doesn't exist: An item that will turn my Death Knight's Ghoul into a Geist. It doesn't need to grant it any special abilities, Geists just look cool as hell, and definitely much more worthy of serving a Death Knight than the somewhat dull-witted nearly-rotted-to-nothing Ghoul. Uh, no offense, Wormslobber.
So my question for the day is this: Do you have a vanity item that you consider integral to one or more of your characters? Have you kept old drops and quest items tucked away for a rainy day just in case you need to look really good and/or weird? And what type of vanity items are you still trying to track down or would love to see implemented?

Lucky Fishing Hat, Blue Overalls, Red Lumberjack Shirt, Calico Gloves, Fishing Pole, and no shoes.
Put all this together on a green-bearded gnome, and you have the quintessential backwater, red-neck fisherman.

I tend not to save things. The only vanity items I have tucked away in my vault are Barov Peasant Collar (I've never used it, but I just don't want to get rid of it for some reason), and my Perfectly Calibrated Broomstick, which is the first and only world-drop BoE epic I've ever gotten my hands on. The vend price for it isn't worth the sadness/guilt I'd feel down the line having sold it. I also have saved the dresses that came as rewards for Love is in the Air and the Lunar Festival, and will probably do so with any other special event clothing items as they come along.
Given the option for player housing, or basically unlimited storage, I'd probably save a LOT more things. I'd love to have a player or guild house where I could mount my weapons on the wall. Or special pieces of armor. But since I have no way to show those off other than going to my vault and staring into it, right now, they get vended when I replace them. It's just not worth the vault space.
I do like to collect vanity pets I guess, but since they aren't something I can really out-level and they no longer take up inventory space, I don't consider those to be things I hoard that have no purpose.
I have a friend who runs around hunting down old pieces of armor/gear just for the fun of it. That's something I don't understand the desire for, especially when it's something I've outleveled by 20-30 levels. To each their own though. I mean, yes, there are some really cool pieces that would look good on me, and some awesome cloth robes (I'm a warrior). But realistically, I'm not going to ever wear them in combat or doing anything that requires me to be at my peak skills-wise. I can see the purpose of changing outfits for RP-type things, but I'm not in an RP guild or on an RP server.
We all have our little quirks that keep us playing the game long after we're level capped though. For me now, it'll be achievements. For some people, it's collecting old gear. To each their own. That's what's great about this game.

It's interesting the attention your bank character can get if they are a female blood elf wearing only a Lovely Black Dress :)

I have an entirely black set of clothes for my Blood Elf Pally, complete with ninja mask (like the savoury deviate delight effect).
Looks great with my Blood Knight tabard, and I topped it off with a 2-H samurai looking sword. I mainly use it for "death runs" when I don't want to have to repair expensive T-7, but it's fun to put it all on and run around Dal and Shatt.

Perfect pair of jeans.

I actually have a couple of sets of 'gear' for my hunter that serve no purpose except for looks. I've got a set of pirate gear (with both the admiral's hat as well as the first mate's hate), a few dresses, a tux, the famous hat, ruby specs, and a fishing outfit (red lumberjack shirt, blue overalls, fishing hat). It's fun hanging out in my fishing gear in Dalaran when everyone else is all decked out in Naxx stuff... makes me stand out just a little. :)

My little gnome rogue loves to use her "Orb of the Sin'dorei" [http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35275] and "Swift White Hawkstrider" [http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35513].
Especially in Alliance cities, or any screenshots.

My troll rogue on Defias Brotherhood has two items I am never going to give up:
A Crochet Hat and a Troll Keepsake (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29577).

Now I got so in the mood of collecting Dungeon set 1 "The Elements" for my BE Pala. I think it would look so cool :P
I Got lovely black dress for my Male BE bank alt. He actually looks really pretty!

To Daniel:
For jeans, I've found Solliden's Trousers are by far the best:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4261
Don't be deceived by the Wowhead screenshot, which shows them broken by the always-visible Forsaken knees. They're full length jeans with the same texture as the Rancher's Trousers/Blue Overalls, flared just above the boots.
They drop off a rare spawn (Farmer Solliden) in Tirisfal Glades.

I'm not an active RP'er but one Emerald Dream RPPVP, I play a priest and I try so hard to look it. Unfortunately the guy I play with doesn't really care what you look like just as long as you have better gear.
I wanna look like a priest again. :(
