I was in a guild that did a 'bad-ectomy', culling people that had joined in BC days that the officers didn't feel were up to par for Wrath raiding. They told us several months in advance that they were going to do it, but had no kind of feedback to tell people who was going to just vanish. No contingency plan for those people after they left the guild. Just poof--gone.They also didn't say when it would happen so it was pretty terrible logging in one day and seeing a third of the members gone. My partner and I made the cut, but it was still really disheartening. And after that, the officers started recruiting hardcore. Only, they recruited the exact same type of players that they kicked before! The guild went *right* back into the crapper. That's about when we left, lol.
