Basically seems like your asking for Vereesa to get some love by the manga/comic people.
Bring back Turyalon and Alleria-- Alleria would bring some earth shattering story into the Warcraft lore.
She's lost one sister to the plague, a younger brother is dead, and Vereesa is living in Exile. There is so much source for conflict there. Does she stay true to the Alliance? Or does she attempt to lead the bulk of her people into a new age?
Or even better does she attempt to reconcile all three ties of the Windrunner line, the High Elf, the Blood Elf, and the Forsaken. She has no reason to hold a grudge against Sylvanas, she wasn't there for any of the events of the Third War.
Also, bring in a Forsaken group trying to actively seek a cure for undeath. They've shown that some do with Leonid Bartholemew and the Argent Dawn. Take that story further.

Huh? Vereesa living in exile? She's in Dalaran with Rhonin, and she's the leader of the Silver Covenent. Also I'm pretty sure both Vereesa and Alleria are classified as High Elves.

It sounds like you may be mixing up Vereesa Windrunner (Rhonin-Sue's cardboard cutout--er, I mean, wife) with the unrelated Valeera Sanguinar (Varian Wrynn's blow-up doll--er, I mean, companion).
Come to think of it, neither are worth wasting paper on.
But as for your other point, more lore on Turalyon and Alleria would be good, though it wouldn't satisfy the Horde-Alliance lore disparity in the manga/comics.

Problem is that Alleria majorly hates Orcs and Trolls.
"Though they were successful in repelling the Horde invasion, it came at a terrible cost: eighteen of her kin, including her younger brother, Lirath, were killed. Devastated, Alleria sought comfort in the arms of Turalyon, but ultimately, she chose to dedicate herself to revenge.
