The Warlocks Den is a great site. I've learned a lot about my class and how to play it.
Izzy Mar 31st 2009 5:12PM
Yep. I've been on it for a while now and it is my first source for help.

So Big Red Kitty closed its doors today and no one on this entire site is going to bring it up??? You guys are doing terrible on keeping up with news.
WoWie Zowie Mar 31st 2009 5:10PM

This is an excellent site, and it's well moderated and actively maintained.

I've been using The Warlocks Den for my warlock related questions for almost two years now, it's a great site.

+1. Warlock's Den is just about the best source of Lock information out there at the moment - you might get more out of a math-heavy 90 page thread on EJ, but the guys at the Den keep it simple for those of us without degrees in spreadsheetology.

Well, it seems like a lot of people like the site you linked too, but what on earth is this doing there:
"Description:
Tired of going to the demon trainer and struggling to remember which grimoires you had the money to purchase last level? Tired of blowing soul shards only to see 'Already Known' on every book? Then Grimoire Keeper is for you!"
That's 6 months out of date!
Ultranator Mar 31st 2009 8:08PM
6 months?
That thread was last edited in February of last year. I was going to comment asking why they listed the addon section anyways, since most of the links are broken, and second one listed was that grimoire one that isn't even needed anymore.

"Ok, Den should be all trojan free for now..."
Oh that makes me feel better...wait what?!?

I like how outdated the article on spell damage is.
It might as well state: One day we will finally be able to enter Black Temple! No one has ever seen Illidan yet, I bet he is scary and hard to beat!

Warlocks den is a great site but the admin part is absolute garbage. I have tried to register there twice now, about 2 weeks apart, both time i never received the conformation email so i am unable to make posts. I also sent two emails to the admins about this issue, and never received a reply with any help. Would be nice to be able to post there.

A quick glance at the current site shows a post about which e-mail to use when contacting and why the site hosts may have had trouble receiving e-mails or sending them back to you:

Email Reminder. Since we're having so many people register today, it's a good time to remind everyone of the email to contact me at. Since so many ISP's block wowmb, I never receive emails if you send them to that address, and if I do receive them, you never receive my reply. So, if you need to contact me for any reason, please use thewarlocksden[at]gmail[dot]com. Please note you can contact me about your account issues, thread concerns, letting me know of good threads to highlight/move to the Library, site suggestions or over all feedback. After all, you guys are the ones using the site, so tell me what you want!

Many of the articles refer to level 70 stuff. Not the most up to date site I've found.
Dunwich Mar 31st 2009 8:55PM
Actually it is very up to date...it also has a lot of old material, little bit of everything but you have to filter it yourself. If you were a regular to the Den you would most likely look at the daily postings on the forums as opposed to most of the guides. Some of the guides are out of date, but then again we are all aware that most of them will need changing again with patch 3.1. The best part of the Den is the daily banter and discussions. We tend to go over the changes as they are happening. If you want theorycrafting and max dps summaries then EJ is your place. The Den is more about Warlocks helping Warlocks and the discoveries we make along the way.
wrinklestein Mar 31st 2009 9:15PM
True, I guess I was referring mostly to the guides.
Tzyra Mar 31st 2009 5:54PM
Naix -- that's in reference to the fact that, unfortunately, the site has been hacked a few times recently; just one of the perils of running a popular, online site. The admin is doing a great job of quickly responding to the attacks and trying to figure out long term solutions, though, but just like anywhere you visit on the web: be careful of what you download.
