True... and that's what I do now to keep Expertise capped. Some gems, the glove enchant, and food put me at 26/26.

Still... wouldn't it be nice if enough gear carried it so our "extra" stuff could go towards things like Agi, AP, and other more useful dps increasers?

Yes... I want all BiS gear to cater to Mutilate rogues. That cake I just ate... yeah, I'm still holding it also. :-)
