Noblegarden removed from in-game calendar
Thanks to the astute eyes of reader Jadissa, we can report that Noblegarden is no longer present on the in-game calendar. This is likely a clear indicator that the in-game world event is getting pushed back. Based on what we know already (that it will be part of other achievements), it should not be assumed that the event was removed. We've spoke about the upcoming changes to Noblegarden before: it might get delayed, and it will be part of the overall world event achievement What a Long, Strange Trip.
There has been no indication from Blizzard when exactly it will start up, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go live towards the end of the month. We'll have to wait and see when this start date is, and we'll be sure to announce it here on WoW Insider as soon as we know.
This is not an April Fools joke.

I am pleased that Blizzard is taking the time to do this holiday right rather than rushing to make the typical Easter-time
schedule.
Garrona Apr 1st 2009 3:13PM
Agreed. I was really afraid that this holiday would be half arsed and would suck.
Holidays are one of my favorite things about WoW and it pleases me that they are taking them a little bit more seriously now.

I agree. It gives us more time to shoot bunnies anyways.

Noblegarden is on the PTR right now and so far it's much better than previous years.
Brasson Apr 1st 2009 3:14PM
An important disclaimer at the end. I was all set to be overjoyed before that.
Nothing against Noblegarden itself, just wasn't looking forward to another metachievement requirement.
Caz Apr 1st 2009 3:14PM
I'm looking forward to this holiday, but I don't expect to be able to do the achievements until next year. Better late than out of season or full of bugs.

"This is not an April Fools joke."
Or is it? Dun dun dunnnn!!
Actually, i'd be really disappointed if it got removed, or delayed until next year. It's one of the things i'm looking forward to most in the near-ish future of the game.
Khanmora Apr 1st 2009 3:33PM
More than likely it is just being delayed until after the patch is deployed which should be near April 14th, which would be after Easter.
Probably not delayed until next year.

It's not a joke. Just don't want there to be any confusion. =)
Shade Apr 1st 2009 3:23PM
Oh good - I'd rather they were doing it -right-!
schmots Apr 1st 2009 3:23PM
Will we still get the pet bunny?
NinthBatter Apr 1st 2009 3:45PM
you buy the pet from the noblegarden vendor outside the newb starting towns (goldshire brill ect) for 100 chocolate eggs which you get from the eggs located around the town.

I don't think they should add this event for What a Long Strange Trip It's Been.
Deadly. Off. Topic. Apr 1st 2009 3:30PM
I hope they don't push it back too far, I don't want it conflicting with my sister's wedding which is later in the month. Cuz RL has to come before Wow (or the sibling would murder me).

Can anyone tell what the character in the picture is wearing? Is doesn't look like a festive pink dress.

It is one of the regular Noblegarden dresses...in fact, I think the picture itself is from the World of Warcraft description of Noblegarden on the World Events page.
Dustin Stauffer Apr 1st 2009 3:36PM
I had noticed it was missing from the calender the other day, though I wonder how far back it would be pushed because children's Week starts May 1.
Dreadskull Apr 1st 2009 3:36PM
They should just wait until next year to implement the Noblegarden changes instead of pushing the date of something that's supposed to be running on the real life date of the holiday back so they can get everything they want in...
That's like pushing back Winter Veil to January...
Plus, it'll mean I won't have to see everyone and their mothers (now that the Brew of the Year achievement is gone) running around on Violet Proto Drakes by this Brewfest/Hallow's End.
Clarick Apr 1st 2009 3:47PM
Yeah...i noticed that last night when I was looking for hints of when the patch might come. I thought they might have put the event in but no...its just not there.
It isn't too far fetched to see Blizzard put Noblegarden the week before Children's week. They have other world events that hapen nearly on top of each other. Besides its a good change to distract people if Noblegarden does have bugs "oohh...something else to do...noblewha??"
