I am sorry but your point is valid but the conclusion should be exactly opposite of what yours is.Being able to color your armor makes it possible to make a unified army no matter what armor you are using. In DAoC my guild (200+ accounts) had a uniform scheme. If you went out to PVP you were expected to have the exact same colors as everyone else.
