In the Argent Tournament, is it possible to champion other cities than the ones attached to your race and faction?Could my Tauren Warrior try and earn the favor of Gnomeregan to obtain a sweet Mechano Strider?I've always wanted one of those for my tauren warrior

I believe they said that you have to be exalted with the faction before you can champion it, so if you find a way, let me know.

BUT, the pets at least, are BoE, so they will be tradeable. Thinking of leveling my horde toon just to get my main all the pets without having to spend unreasonable amounts of gold.

@KakistocracyYou do NOT have to be exalted with a city to champion it, just to get the "of " title while you're championing it. The Champion dailies are a new way to gain rep with cities if you haven't already hit exalted with them all (plowing through lowbie quests for achievements & mount-access). So if you really don't want to go for Seeker or Loremaster by doing every quest you can find (which will also get you exalted with your faction cities), you can still run a bunch of daily quests at 80 to hit exalted so you can go round up all those mounts you couldn't buy before, and get a bunch of titles in the process. I think, currently, you can only gain rep with a city you're championing (or have already championed) since the quartermaster doesn't show you any goods unless you're a champion with them. If you're a gnome, and you've become champion of Gnomeregan, Darnassus, and Stormwind, you can take the Writ rewards from the dailies and turn 'em in to the Darn or SW quartermasters for a 250-rep token (like the regular daily dungeon rewards). You probably won't need to get any of those tokens from Gnomeregan, since you should be exalted with them by 80. So basically your first Champion role isn't about rep, it's just about a free title, getting familiar with the quests, and getting a pile of Champion Tokens in your currency tab to start saving up for your Argent Hippogryph or other AT goodies.

Once you faction your home city based on race, you can do quests to unlock other cities within your faction and champion them too. You don't need to be exalted to champion a city, in fact factioning is supposed to help you gain rep with the cities.
