I just started leveling an alt and I'm currently level 28 (horde). Since I first leveled my main a year ago, the old world has completely emptied. People were scarce a year ago compared to BC content but now they just don't seem to exist. I quested for 3 hours the other night and saw 1 other person. I love my 80 and Northrend, but how are new players supposed to join or existing players level an alt through the old world. It's just plain depressing. The quests are farther apart. You can't powerlevel since most of the quest items can't be bought off the auction house (since no one else is doing those quests). It was hard to run instances a year ago in the old world. I'm guessing it's nearly impossible now.

as you have noted, you may havenoticed, the amount of XP 1-60 was reduced in BC and even farther reduced in Wrath... a goo dplayer cna solo thier way to 58 to hit outlands in less than a month without using a guide and playing 1-2 hours a day .yes the old world is pretty dead, but its cause why would you want to be thre unless its for achievments.. there are no rewards or reasons to stay in the zone

I agree that I can push my way through it but it still means that it is known to suck. Older players don't want to do it and push through it fast. How bad must it suck for new players who may not have the stashed gold and existing friends to make it through it? It just seems completely broken and like it should be addressed by Blizzard.
