Sorry, but I completely disagree... yeah, Thrall didn´t have them under control, neither did Sylvanas... but that is no reason to essentially try to assassinate Thrall, just because "the opportunity was there". That´s really, really stupid, and if Wrynn had succeeded, the Horde would be storming at this point into the Alliances lands, while the Lich King would laugh his ass off at the stupidity of both sides.

King Varian was wrong, and is at this point acting like an idiot. Jaina was right in preventing him from essentially assassinating Thrall.
