I'd say that's a false statement, as there is nothing that Blizzard is doing that would hinder a new expansion, and would probably be within the same time frame as it took the development between the BC and LK ex-pacs.

Remember that the next gen MMO, D3, SC2 and WoW dev teams are all separate with very little cross over except at the very top of the production chain.
