Around Azeroth: Azerothian gothic
More Warcraft decorating disasters? Well, actually, this particular painting is one I'd be proud to hang in my bedroom. This little number, found in an undead dwelling by Raelivh of Bleeding Hollow, is a zombie parody of Grant Wood's American Gothic. It's even got the proper clothing on the couple, and a Tarren Mill-like desecrated version of the famous church in the background. Four years of playing WoW, and I'm still amazed at the amount of detail the designers put into the little things like this. Well played, Blizzard art dude. Well played.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, double-mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Where is this located? I really wish you'd put the in game location of things like these, cause usually the whole area is real cool.

New Agamand is correct. Just happened to notice this one day when I was setting hearth there.

There's also a lovely picture of the Agamand Mills right next to this. Ah, life on the farm!

Could have sworn it was a farm house in the background, and it was Grant Wood's Mother and her Dentist. But, none the less, I'll have to go find this little gem, thanks!

Yeah, it definitely was a farmhouse, not a church. At any rate, whats ironic is that Grant Wood originally meant American Gothic as a parody itself, so this is a parody of a parody!

The small details in WoW make the top 3 of my favorite things about this game.
I love finding little quirks and other things that most people wouldn't notice.
