Free EU character migrations

There are a handful of free EU character transfers to report on today, all focused on the faction differences on the realm Magtheridon.Now Magtheridon was always a pain in the butt in the days before his colossal nerf. It was a big challenge when BC was released to coordinate a couple groups of five people to click on cubes all at one time. I'd always say on vent very calmly: "Three, two... one... click-click-click. Good work. Break." Or "Three, two... one... click-click-click. Terrible. Wipe it."
Does that obnoxious and repetitious pattern which still haunts me in my dreams have anything to do with the character migrations? Probably not.

Horde Only
Source Realm: Magtheridon
Destination Realm: Executus, Genjuros, Hakkar, Haomarush, Neptulon, Ragnaros, Sunstrider, Tarren Mill, The Maelstrom, Trollbane, Zenedar, Silvermoon (PvE)
Alliance Only
Source Realm: Burning Blade, Burning Legion, Crushridge, Darksorrow, Frostmane, Grim Batol, Ragnaros, Ravencrest, Silvermoon, Sylvanas
Destination Realm: Magtheridon
These transfers are only open from April 4th to April 14th. Transfer soon and transfer often! Blizzard has been shutting down transfers early once they reach their internal transfer quotas.

My server norgannon US needs one of these type's of transfers I think were at a 3:1:1 ratio(last time I checked) in favor of alliance.

Ya, Norg is alliance heavy, but if you look at the census, there's a lot less active alliance than horde which, while it doesn't make things even, makes the difference much less of a factor. That being said, having a few more Horde joining us wouldn't hurt. (FOR THE HORDE!)

Hey, my little server gets a mention!
Yea, I hear the imbalance is pretty bad, but I think the best people seem to be the small horde population. I believe they got a lot of the server firsts, like Naxx25 and Sarth3D on 10 man. And they have the #1 guild on the server (Wowjutzu). So I don't think you get as many scrub guilds (like mine), just the best people.
And, even stuff like WG isn't too bad, the horde usually only have tenacity 2-3 tops, sometimes no one get it. I will say that Dal seem a little quiet of horde though... And the horde kills PvP in that battlegroup.

They have had this transfer option up before... it was up for quite a while, at least a month, they then took it away. Then after about 1-2 weeks they have put it up again, which is how it is now.
I hope Magtheridon gets some balance... I leveled a DK there for a bit to see what it was like...
Basically Horde OWN the server... First time I went into SW at level 58... there were two Horde raids in SW destroying the entire place, killing the king etc.. There were less than 10 alliance there in total.
The AH was empty, there are no alliance raid guilds worth mentioning.
So I stopped playing there and have just popped back on a couple of times to see how its going. I hear it's getting a little better, but the last time I logged in, about 3 days ago.. within 2 mins of logging in, where I was upstairs in the Inn in HH... There were Horde there, killing all the npc's etc... So I logged off again after being killed a few times (I thought what the hell maybe I can kill one of them... ofc I couldn't :) ).

As far as I am aware the most imbalanced server in wow is Silvermoon EU with the ratio of A:H at 27.2:1

Isn't Magtheridon the server with the guild that-must-not-be-named?

Honestly, based on the things I've heard, I think that server is a lost cause. As long as that one guild is still there, many Horde players will keep flooding that server and the Alliance will just go somewhere else. :/
Of course, if that server is not the home of you-know-what-guild then ignore what I said.

Erm, there have been a LOT more transfers concerning Magtheridon-EU in recent times...
All of them ran their due time courses, without solving the whole faction imbalance, of course...
As Lorsty said before me, there's no realistic chance of balancing the population on Magtheridon-EU until something (possibly) cataclysmic happens...

It's still mostly horde. But finding an ally, is not a rare sight any more.
You can even get ganked by allies again while leveling. I got a DK to 80 and a a shammy from lvl 40+ to 70 and I think I saw 4 allies in total before they started with the free transfers.
It's much better but still a horde server. Keep the allies coming pls.

But tbh, the situation on Magtheridon has improved alot. It's probably more like 80% active Horde now compare to what it was before. Even got atacked by a rogue while doing dailies today.

Blackwing Lair is a realm thats also in desperate need of an alliance transfusion. Currently its a low pop realm with an estimated 18H for every 1A.

Silvermoon is insanely over-populated by Alliance. Being a Horde on there is very trying - the Auction House is pretty dead, and at times there's more Alliance in Org & UC than there are Horde! Still, we have fun being Horde - we regularly rule WG and any Horde transferring from another Server will be welcome in the Cruel Intentions guild!

So are they planning on doing this on US realms too, I think Rivendare is one of the worst realms for alliance, I think having some extra help with the horse infestation would be nice or at least cull a few of them. Alliance only wins Wintergrasp about once or twice a day and tenacity is usually around 16-20. This huge imbalance means you can't even do PvE without horde camping the stone and entrance. Also the fact that there are more active Blood Elves than there are Alliance is a really disturbing fact.
