People who've kept up on the PTR news knew about this change for a while now. What we've heard was that it wasn't working right with unique gems, and wouldn't have been fixed by the time we're supposed to get the patch.

Well it sounds a bit odd, as there IS an addon that does the Equipment Managers' work and even more - and it does it pretty well.

Still, I guess it's better that they cought up with the problem before the patch actually came out ^_^
