The Daily Quest: Dave Arneson rolls a 20

On a personal note, I ran into him around the age of 10 while in a St. Paul, Minnesota comic book store (Schinders, for those of you wondering). I was looking at Magic cards mainly, but he was browsing around and came over and talked with me when he saw I had turned my attention to one of the D&D 2e books. The clerk later told me as I was checking out who he was.

- Derevka of Tales of a Priest has a very good rundown of the Acutioneer add-on. We've covered it a few times as well.

I had the great pleasure of playing in a Blackmoor game run by Dave Arneson at a con way back in the early 80s.
My character was one of the few survivors of the adventure and I still proudly keep the certificate he issued to survivors.
Fun game, great guy and very interesting to talk to on the few occasions I had to do so.
He will be missed.

sad to see his passing. i had a buddy in High School who's dad worked for TSR when they started in Lake Geneva, WI before they were sold to Wizards of the Coast. Him and his dad are last i knew still in the CCG/RPG buisness it was pretty cool cuz we got to play test a few games before they went public before our D&D games.
