Damn, Shinder's was awesome and ghetto. Too bad the owner was a criminal and the place folded. Shinder's, Phoenix Games and others show that hobby stores never last unless they are so deeply corporate that they aren't fun at all.

I'm so glad the FLGS here has lasted 2+ decades. Family owned FTW!

I worked for Shinder's until a few months before it went under, and while it wasn't a surprise at all given all the shenanigans that were going on, it's still a shame to see the comic and gaming shops going under. I wonder how long Dreamhaven is going to last in their new location - going past their old store makes me sad.

Schinders definitely was a creepy ass store at times, but it also had a very nice and laid back feel to it.My birthdays at a young age would always consist of going out to McDonalds for lunch and then Schinders to buy a few comics. Fatting Food + Comic Book Store = WoW?
