I actually bought myself a Roomba last year intending to take it apart and make some cool remote control robot thing with it (they all have serial ports you can program them with), but I was really impressed with how well it actually cleans! Totally unexpected. Good thing too; I hate vacuuming, so the robot does it for me! :DMy house has a relatively simple layout so the Roomba doesn't have any problems maneuvering everywhere and it picks up a fair amount of stuff each time I run it. Sure it won't clean up a huge mess of large objects, but it's great for routine carpet maintenence. :)Ooh, I should attach a laser to it so it can play with my cat too... Laziness++ >.>

That and you can tell all your friends that you have the new laser-guided model of Roomba and they'll be super-jealous. Now if only I could justify spending $200 on a vacuum...
