Argent Tournament Dailies: A Chip Off the Ulduar Block

The blocks look like what you see above. Just broken pieces of Titan ruins laying here and there. You need to get right up against them to use the quest item, it'll complain about being out of range unless you're really snuggled up.

You use your 'chisel' and then...

Pow! You've broken up the block into smaller, more manageable pieces. Be warned, this explosion actually does AOE damage, and not a small amount. When you lay the explosive, back up fast, especially if you just got out of combat. The explosion does between 7,000 and 8,000 fire damage to anything nearby and it can kill you if you're not careful.

You can get anywhere from 1 to 4 pieces of stone from each block, and you need a total of 15. If you're really unlucky, you might find yourself blowing up 15 blocks to get 15 little pieces. Best case scenario, you only have to blow up 4. Once you have 15, head back to the Argent Tournament grounds.
Like the Lumber quest, there's no reputation or anything tied to this quest. Doing it won't advance you through the Tournament any faster, so if you're only after reputation or Tourney items, you can safely skip this. If you're just in it for the gold? Go for it.
Your reward at level 80 is 13 gold and 23 silver.

I'm gonna guess that these will actually be necessary for the progression of the Argent Tournament event. Like Sunwell, it will probably be phased and the only way to continue through with it and unlock more for it will be to do these quests.

Actually, instead of having it phased like Quel'danas, your progression is individual. Also I noted while testing this content on PTRs (just like Alex said) that this quest gave only gold. So no, this isn't necessary for the Tournament. As far as I saw on the PTR, there is no phasing involved -- like leveling, doing quests unlocks other quests.

This probably will be important for the Tournament- remember the building of the coliseum? This and the lumber quest are probably important for getting it built, though you only get gold for it.

I wonder if the AoE from that explosion will flag you if you have a flagged member of the opposite faction in range.
aka. another way for people to gank on a PvE server

If your rep is currently destroyed with the Cartel, will it affect your ability to do these dailies? Or are they faction free goblins?

These guides are great, thanks! One question though, why are they not being filed or put in the Argent Tournament Guide you have created here?

They will be, don't worry. We'll make them very easy to find soon.

Hey, is the reason you're not in Shadowform in the final screenshot... that you got pwned by the AoE, and needed to quickly heal yourself before a hordie flew down and 2-shot your squishie self?

Thought so. LOL
