Official Ulduar cinematic revealed

The first thing that struck me is the new face on Jaina. It looks... unpleasant. That's just me, though! It might just take some time to get used to it. Beyond that, the trailer is very very cool, and keeps the Alliance/Horde conflict in the forefront despite the departure from it for the raid zone. It reinforces my thoughts that Varian's hatred of the Horde is never going to be repaired until Garrosh is out of the picture. It also displays that the war on Ulduar isn't being supported by either the Horde or the Alliance: We're in this thing on our own. I also seem to hate Rhonin much less when Blizzard is writing his dialogue.
Thanks to everyone who wrote in about this!

Here's a direct link to the flv file if you want to download the trailer and watch it (because you might have a bad connection like me where streaming doesn't work properly or if you want to keep it or whatever):

" I also seem to hate Rhonin much less when Blizzard is writing his dialogue."
THIS. He was actually cool in this and had character, not some Mary Sue.
That trailer was so awesome though, I haven't felt as excited as this about WoW in a while. Maybe it's also because I heard crowd control is making a comeback.
And Garosh... damn I'm glad to be Alliance. Somebody needs to put him down and badly. He's making everyone on the horde look bad.
5 bucks says he's a future raid boss.

THIS. Varian might be a bit of a racist, but Garrosh is just annoying.
kabshiel Apr 13th 2009 11:05PM
I dunno, I'm kind of warming up to Garrosh. He's feisty.
Limor Apr 14th 2009 11:04AM
Saying that Varian is a bit of a racist is like saying that the holocaust was a little mistake. Garrosh may not act in the most diplomatic way, but he isn't nearly the problem that Varian is.

Don't like Jaina's new face, either.
Hoggersbud Apr 13th 2009 10:37PM
Replies don't count.
It's still lame though. Almost as lame as Jaina's face. What did they do, mix her up with SJP?
pwnzore Apr 13th 2009 10:39PM
The new jaina looks like Mia Rose.
TJ Apr 13th 2009 10:39PM
Rhonin was portrayed pretty awesomely right there. Major respect points for him.

Koodos to the Blizzard Cinematic Team!
They continue to outdo themselves.
I hope they continue to include more of these as they are amazing and really great to see.

@falcrist
Those posts after the first ones are replies.
Also, I don't see why FIRST comments have such a negative reaction. Sure this guy wasn't indeed first so it was quite stupid, but still.
Kaphik Apr 13th 2009 10:47PM
Freaking spectacular! Can't wait!
MusedMoose Apr 13th 2009 10:50PM
That was pretty damn spectacular. I've got quite a ways to go before I'll see Ulduar in anything but others' pics and vids, but I'm looking forward to it like nothing else.
Also, major kudos to Blizzard for making this preview about the reaction of the factions' leaders to the news of Ulduar, instead of just "Here's what you get to go kill!" Definitely made it more interesting. *grin*

That trailer was as epic in its own way as the Wrathgate.
I like the first time Jaina's face was shown, just looked like she really didn't want to be there to announce Varian. The rest of the time was a bit weird though. Is that the same voice from Warcraft Three?
