Patch 3.1 Battleground queue updates
Out of the blue tonight, the blustering Blizzard Blue bard Eyonix, came out and let us know about a few things that'll be happening with the Patch 3.1 battleground queue (see what queuing will be like now):- Players will not be able to queue while dead.
- If you queue and accept to enter a battleground while in flight, you'll be returned to a designated destination.
As far as the second point, this is interesting and pretty much provides another way of ghetto hearthing in some circumstances (remember, ghetto hearthing is being removed in patch 3.1). Not that you should take advantage of this or anything, and chances are it'll be hotfixed relatively quickly upon release of patch 3.1.

Still nothing about the Secrets of Ulduar video on the official site. I just watched it!!! I'm just pretty excited about the whole thing! (if you can't tell!)

Just saw it, based on your comments, thanks for pointing it out.
In my opinion it's one of the best teaser/trailers they've put out.
Most story in a trailer yet!

Well, selected destination I see as the next hop of your flight path... just like when you logoff middle-flight.

People have been using BG's the ghetto hearth or get to Dalaren since release...

And now they can't.

Where is this "designated destination"? Does it put you backward to the nearest flight master? Put you in a city?
The only way this could be used as a gheto hearth is if it ports you to a known inn. It wont be very useful if you just get ported to somewhere along you flight path so I don't see many people taking advantage of it.
It's more so that you don't get insta ported to the end of your flight path like vanilla wow used too upon logout.

I think you are misreading that.
Disconnect your internet while in the middle of a long flight path... Like, let's say from Undercity to Booty Bay.
You'll wind up landing somewhere in Tarren Mill, or Thorium Point, or wherever, depending on which node was closest to where you Disconnected.
This is probably the same thing that will happen with battleground queuing.

Wow, that was definitely the best trailer they ever made. I really liked that... too bad I won't be able to do Ulduar any time soon but hey w/e haha.
And not just Jaina... everyone looked really odd. Rhonin and Thrall mostly, other than her. Garrosh looked tight though.

re: ghetto-hearthing...
3.1 patch:
Hearthstone: Cooldown has been reduced to 30 minutes down from 60 minutes.

That is what i assumed previously aswell but i think the article suggests that instead of being plonked back on your bird to land at the next destination(which makes sense) you'll be dropped off at the next stop on your route, bypassing the birdy bit.
The time it'd take to load and exit a BG though it's probably quicker just to flap.
