The Daily Quest: Welcome to Patch 3.1
We here at WoW Insider are on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
- The official Ulduar cinematic showed us another glimpse of King Varian Wrynn. Want to know more about him? Check out Lorecrafted's Varian Wrynn character study.
- Speaking of the official cinematic, if you're having trouble with Blizzard's flash player, MMO-Champion has put the video in full on its YouTube channel.
- If you're a healer looking to start Ulduar, World of Matticus has just about everything you could possibly need to be prepared tonight.
- The Death Knights in our audience may be at a loss as to how to spec tonight. Your talent trees have gone through a lot of changes in patch 3.1. Luckily, Death Knight Tactics has some build suggestions for you.
- Too Many Annas uses Dual Spec to try something a little more unusual. If it doesn't work out, you can always change it, right?

Jon Apr 14th 2009 7:25PM
@Zul
Dual specs not Duel. I'm tired of people saying that :o
and does anyone know if dual specs will cost 1k gold at lvl 40?

Anyone else getting stuck on "Fetching Characters"?
Zdogg Apr 14th 2009 7:11PM
The servers keep coming on and off and I keep getting stuck at different things every time.
Dirken Apr 14th 2009 7:14PM
All the realms are down again :(
Pretty classy how 3.1 doesnt come out the day it comes out....
Dr Jekyll Apr 14th 2009 7:17PM
It's fashionably late.
DavidGX Apr 14th 2009 7:12PM
This was a premature post, don't you think? All the servers are offline atm.

Thank you wowinsider staff. You have really been on top of stuff today. Considering the lack of being able to play the game at all wowinsider really pulled through for us today and gave us lots to read and think about while we awaited our servers return. Thanks again for everything.
Aries Apr 14th 2009 7:22PM
Seconded. Wowinsider FTW.
It's funny how everyone cries and QQs about the servers being down so long, but seriously - if you didn't see that coming, you need your head examined.
Wowinsider provided an afternoon of entertainment full of good articles, so thanks again wowinsider staff. You guys rock.

this is insane,it's now 5 hours over the scheduled time for the realms to come back up,some started to,but not it seems they are all down again. Some people dont have everyday to play,my new job has me staying with parents on the nights i work, and this is my last night off.I think the GM's are in there getting their avatars all setup,i mean i know they are in charge, but what about the people that work hard to barely have enuf extra money to play 3 nights a week then works 5? I guess i must find a way to break the addiction!
Anna Apr 14th 2009 7:31PM
Sorry about the site being down - I'm near my bandwith cap for the month right now, so a big link on patch day probably broke me.
And my pocket book. /ouch!
My apologies, and I hope my webhost gets it fixed before too long!
Alex Ziebart Apr 14th 2009 7:33PM
Ack, sorry! I didn't mean to tank your bandwidth. : (
Anna Apr 14th 2009 7:35PM
That's alright - I've known for awhile I needed a bigger hosting plan, I'm just not ready to give up the cash to do it (already paying more for the blog than I am for a WoW subscription >.
