The Daily Quest: Ulduar
Despite all of the instance server problems last night, a number of bloggers throughout the community marched into Ulduar to give the place a whirl on live realms for the first time.
- We Wipe On Trash downed a few bosses. They also, amusingly, wiped on some trash. Luckily, that trash was hotfixed today.
- Honor's Code had a whole lot of fun figuring out Flame Leviathan. If you haven't tried that boss out yet yourself, it might be worth reading before you do. First hand experiences are even better than regular ol' strategy posts sometimes.
- Hoof n' Healz came to the realization that Naxxramas made him a worse player, and Ulduar trash surprised him a little bit. I fear that most of my raid will come to that same realization tonight when we give the place a whirl.
- Of Teeth and Claws is just a little bitter about the current state of the game, and hopes Ulduar will revive the endgame.
- Mirror Shield was a little surprised by the difficulty of the trash, too.
- Fel Fire lost Ulduar. Yeah, lost it. Whoops!
- Soap Bubble took some shots at Flame Leviathan and Ignis, and also has some thoughts on mana regen as a Discipline Priest.
- Matticus has a full strategy for Flame Leviathan ready to go.
- Less QQ, More PewPew will be posting videos of their boss kills, the first of which you can watch at the top of this post.

If you think we don't post things because it might make Blizzard mad, you have not been reading WoW Insider very long.

Great! I look forward to your reporting on Ulduar raiding and the satisfaction of the various guilds therewith.

Theyve reported on the server status loads. Some of us like to read about things actually happening not things failing to happen.
Who the hell needs a blog to tell them their server isn't 100% on a patch night?

Phase 1: Patch 3.1!
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit!!!

Wow, the fight in that video looks like the most boring fight ever.

Flame Leviathan was really fun. My guild just went in and just killed him on hard mode.
Took about 3 attempts since we had no clue what we were doing. XT-002 and Razorscale were a little more annoying.

As soon as patch 3.1 came out my guild (who had predominantly logged out at the instance entrance) marched in there on 10man and oneshotted Leviathan, Razorscale was a different matter though, four hours of solid wiping and we eventually got him down, earning the achievement A Quick Shave in the process. Managed to get the last 25% on fraps, doesn't show the routine we used for the adds though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXRAmA-sV1A
Reading the achievements gave some clue as to which way to approach killing him, for example we didn't realise till after we downed it that the Dwarves that spawn are succeptible to the blue fire /facedesk

We got the first two bosses down and one attempt at Ingvar (sp?) before the instance server crashed.

I love it! All these scrub guildes plowing through Naxx thinking they are the best, with the idea that a tank pulls whole groups and everyone just AoE's them down in a raid. Now they are wiping on Ignis trash and finding out Polymorph and Sap aren't just fun little things to use in BG's.
