My suggestion for post-patch days:
Do something that doesn't test the limits. I logged on to fish and distribute my talents yesterday.
I figure by the time weekend raids roll around I can get updates to important addons and actually get some progression going on!

I have to say I agree with this 100%, though of course right now even fishing in Northrend is a little dicey due to the huge number of people after the mount ;-)
I wasn't able to even raid Naxx tonight, but I *was* able to fish up several stacks of fish, do some lowbie questing toward my Northrend Loremaster achievement, and all in all had a pretty relaxing game-time.

Talent distribution is apparently tougher than one might think. My level 74 Hunter has 24 talent points visible, and his pet has 22 assigned and 14 unassigned points (for those not in the know, that's far more than he should have). My druid has had to replace his talents three times now when they've mysteriously disappeared.
But hey, the fishing's working fine even with all the crowds.
