Breakfast Topic: Your favorite mount?

Top of my list? While I love dragons (and have my eye on a Twilight Drake), the mount I really want is a unicorn. Yes gentle readers, an actual unicorn. Not a striped zebra crossbreed found wandering in the Barrens but a pure white beast of myth. Last week, while exploring the Argent Tournament in Icecrown, I finally found one. Granted it's technically a 'Quel'dorei Steed' but it's a unicorn - with an Azerothian twist. I only hope Blizzard decide to turn this vehicle into an actual mount -- and soon because I will grind anything to get it.
Anyway, it got me thinking about mounts (and don't forget we have an awesome guide on the subject). I have a friend who collect everyone going (he's got ninety nine at the moment) and strives for the Ashes to complete his collection, others are still using their race-specific epic mount or gryphon/wind rider. So I ask you, readers, what mount do you want the most? It doesn't matter if it's an old mount now removed, a ridable version of your favourite Azerothian animal or just something straight out of myth, speak up.

Anzu. I ran Heroic Sethekk on my priest for a month back in BC, offering gold to people to pass to me if it dropped. Every day for a month, and I never saw it.
So now that my main is a druid, I'm running it again. I'll have that mount someday!

Keep at it! It was the same story for me on my druid.
Once 80 I was able to solo it daily and finally got it after about 20 tries.

What spec were you when you solo'ed - I'd certainly give it a shot now that I have dual-spec. How well geared did you need to be to get through it?

I lucked out and got Anzu the same day the patch that introduced him came out. Best 92 I ever rolled. :)
I remember getting totally swamped with tells anytime I'd go to a capital city with him for the first month or so, to the point that I switched back to my charger if I needed to get actual business done. But now, there's a lot of people on Dalaran who have him, so he's definitely getting farmed.

Anzu is a terrific mount. I have several mounts, but I always use the same black horse from pvp, which I got at level 60 (when AV took 1-2 hours to complete).

I love my Plauged Proto-Drake, but that may just be because it's VERY rare on my server. I'm not sure honestly.

Same, love the Plauged-Proto Drake, SO CLOSE to getting the black one too...oh well, this time we are really pushing to get the new ones.
But my favorite of all time is the Baron Mount from original Stratholm, been farming it for a while and still have no success :(

I have a netherwing drake for flying still. I love it. I guess with new people rolling in when WotLK hit, that many have no idea where it comes from, because I get whispers regularly, asking me where I got that mount.
If I could have ANY mount I wanted, I would want a giraffe.

My favorite land mount used to be the white polar bear, but ever since they increased its size and put it back on the global cooldown I went back to my Dreadsteeed.
And my favorite flying mount is definitely my Green Proto Drake. :)

I use my Green Proto-Drake and White Kodo right now, but if i got the Swift Zulian Tiger he would be my ground mount of choice. Ultimately my flying mount will either be the Green or Violet Proto-Drakes.

I love my Twilight Drake.. I rolled a 99 the first day we downed Sarth 3D.
But honestly, I want a blue drake so much more!

From my own collection I really enjoy my Black Proto-Drake, and I hope improve my collection with either the Raven Mount or Zulian Tiger. Been farming those mounts every reset for like 3 months now. RNG sucks!

For ground mounts, my one and only rare drop item ever, Rivendare's Deathcharger.
I am horribly unlucky with getting other fun things, so right now my bronze drake for flying soon to be replaced when the RNG finally gives me the last two Violet Hold achievements I need for the Red Protodrake.

I want a shoveltusk mount with the saddle on the tusks for front wheel driving.
I'd also like more of a selection, like the warpstalkers, the clefthoofs, or my very own plagued boar. The rhino could be an obvious choice.
As for flying mounts, instead of thoe horrible dragonhawks, why not give us a pterodactyl?

I'm a big fan of the Wyrmrest Accord dragon. I'm not a huge lore guy, but there is something about the story of dragons at war, including our defeat of Malygos, that I really like.
For ground mounts, Anzu's Raven mount, hands down.
