It depends on the Hard Mode.

Killing Grand Widow without using Embrace = good achievement
Clearing Naxx with only 20 players = bad achievement

So long as the Hard Modes actually make the fight more difficult, but not in a retarded way like Spore Loser or They all go Down Together, then I'm happy.
