Argent Tournament Dailies: Contributin' to the Cause
Once you reach Champion rank in the Argent Tournament, this daily quest will open up for all Tournament participants no matter your faction. It can be acquired from Squire Artie within the Argent Pavilion and is among the most straightforward of daily quests. Artie is in charge of the makeshift chapel's collection plate, and is asking you to make a donation. You give him 10 gold, you get 100 reputation with the Argent Crusade as a reward.Like the Sunwell Plateau's A Charitable Donation, this quest's only purpose is to let you get some easy added rep. If you don't feel like knocking out that last Heroic to finish your trip to Exalted, you can just do this quest. Do you have a ton of gold but don't have much time to run heroics for reputation at all? Do this quest on a daily basis, and you'll eventually get rewards.
You don't have to do this quest, and not doing it has no negative impact on your Tournament progress. When you reach Exalted with the Argent Crusade, you no longer receive any reward for completing this quest. I'm sure a number of you will think to yourselves, 'Did this quest really need a guide?' Considering how many people stare dumbfounded at this Squire on my home server trying to figure out his purpose, I say yes. It did need one.

This quest sort of annoys me, I was hoping for like a mail reward or a reward after several days of doing this quest, just rep.... (sigh)

IMO, it should be giving you Silver Covenant (or whatever the Horde equivalent is) instead. The Argent Crusade is extremely easy to become Exalted with, while we're just now getting Silver Covenant rep.
I was hoping the Argent Tournament would turn out to be like Quel'danas, but alas, that is not the case.

I wish he would stop offering the quest once you hit 999/1000 exalted... or at least make the little blue mini-map (!) invisible.
MikeM Apr 21st 2009 6:37PM
But the real question is does it count towards your daily completion achievement?

Didn't feel like writing about a real quest today?

It annoys me that a quest like this has been implemented when the vast majority of players are already exalted with the Argent Crusade. I would pay the 10g if it was rep for the Silver Covenant.

Is it just me or does this kid look a lot like the child Arthas ghost... And Squire Artie? Artie - Arthas? I'm just saying...
Sothe Apr 21st 2009 9:24PM
to be fair there is like....ONE model for human children in WoW....and he has it.

Awww, bless. A food for the soul quest.

That kid owes me 10g!
I wish it wouldn't show when you were at max rep. It's annoys me to see uncomplete quests on my minimap

I wish I'd read this before doing the quest today thinking "What does he reward? Aw, nothing :("

I guess if your still repping up Argent Crusade this quest would actually be kinda nice, considering their other dailies (the few that they have) are a huge pain in the ass.
That said, I would much rather of had a little elf kid asking for money and giving out Silver Covenant rep instead.

Good to know- I had done this quest for a couple days because I easily make the gold back doing the other dailies, but if there's really no purpose other than rep I'm not going to bother.

I was hoping for some other rep, like Silver Covenant. Did it yesterday and ended up with nothing :(
Dukah Apr 22nd 2009 3:31AM
Thanks for writing that article.
I handed over the 10g and nothing happened, wasn't quite sure what was going on. I didn't realise he gives Argent Crusade rep >.<

I've payed the 10g and was surprised, that I got nothing in return (Argent Champion). Now, I know. Shame on me. :)

Maybe it's been fixed to where he doesn't give it anymore when your rep is maxed out, because the blue exclamation point isn't appearing for my anymore.
Eiame May 2nd 2009 2:41AM
yeah not worth it 10g for 100 rep and it does go against ur daily count. Maybe if it didnt go against ur dailys you can do i would do it once every great while but even then 100 rep is not in my opinion worth it when you run heroics w/in the 1st 5 min youve made more than that.
