Curse's claim is that the PPC isn't supported because of the use of wxWidgets in the development of the client. It was ported to the Macs from the original Windows-only version, and that is at the heart of the issue. They have stated that they "are looking into" using Qt for future development, which would enable them to provide support not only for the PPC but for OS versions earlier than 10.5... which they currently do not support.
