Breakfast Topic: Which class are you in real life?

The cool thing is, I think that a lot of people fit into certain class archetypes, even without any of the abilities or spells. A priest at church would quite obviously be a Priest, while athlete fighters would probably be Warriors. Your uncle who goes off deer hunting in the Fall just might be a Marksmanship Hunter. With or without class skills and abilities, I'm sure we all have a class we sort of identify with, or whose powers we wished we possessed. You can even think of it as the WoW player's version of HEROES, choosing a class because of their powers.
Myself, I'd probably stick by the Paladin. Being able to cure diseases and heal the sick would be a great thing, while still being able to lay the smackdown on baddies. Of course, when things get hairy, I'd love to be able to put up an invincible force field and... go home. How about you? You can use this Shared Topic to write your own blog post, but at the same time we'd love to hear your ideas on which class you'd be in real life.

This post is actually funny because all of my characters that I have are family members of mine and what class/race combo I think they would be. For example, my wife is a healer in real life (via Reiki), is really into nature and her name is Rickie ( I know.. funny co-inky-dink), so I made her a NE Druid named Eikcir (Rickie backwards) so she can heal people, but turn into animals and kick butt.
Then you have my brother who is really skinny and multi-boxes WoW. He loves MTG and magic in general and just plain reminds me of the Forsaken. SO, Undead Warlock named Ruhtra.
I love it. Got 9 Alliance on one server and 9 Hordies on another. And what's even better is that I don't have a duplicate of any race or class combo at all! So everyone is their own unique character... :)

Shaman. Most especially a draenei shaman, because they are a bit more outside the pale in terms of where they fit with their own culture. Trolls, orcs and taurens have a already a strong shaman culture, even if the legion has threatened it. Draenei who become shamans are a little more unorthodox and unusual, which is something that appeals to me.
I'd be resto, because I'm a big girl's blouse when it comes to conflict, but I'd still find the idea of thunderbolting or stormstriking someone - or at least knowing that I could - pretty appealing.
Ideologically, I like the shaman's approach to nature, in that they believe that nature is full of huge destructive forces that might be used, and are definitely respected, but never really controlled or romanticised in a tree-huggy fluffy bunny kind of way.
I like my druid well enough, but druids come across to me as elitist, new agey, and "we're nature only better", especially the night elves. (I mean the class, not the people who play it of course). Also, shamans in the game, and often in real human cultures too, represent more of an individual, organic belief structure than a set practice or dogma. Sure they've got the Earthen Ring but they don't have a deity or an organised school. Not to compare to the Cenarion Circle is a lot more of an orthodox, established political/religious group.
The jack of all trades playstyle of the shaman fits pretty well with how I am in RL too. Plus I get all excited by storms and have a liking for small earthquakes. :)

A rogue, because rogues are sneaky, treacherous ass holes.
Or a Death Knight, cause I smell funny...

I didn't think of it when I picked my first (and main) toon, but the MAGE really does seem to fit my personality. While in school, I enjoyed it and did well, used to read a lot and thought of myself as the nerdy, studious type. When hanging out in Mage quarters in SW, reading the NPC conversations, it sounds like something from a small college campus (except more magic related :D )
When you first come over to visit me, you'll most likely be asked if you want something to drink. :) In the game, my friends are often offered conjured refreshments when they see me.
And I'm not the most confrontational type - not the in-your-face-debate-every-subject person. I tend to be a bit more roundabout with things . . more "ranged" you might say. :D
So, I became a mage because fireballs looked cool and because I heard they were powerful Maybe deep down I had other reasons. :) Who knows.
