The Queue: Raid goes up, boss goes down
Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.I was going to follow up Adam's cute cat picture with a picture of my own pets, but since my landlord doesn't let me have any, I figure you're not interested in pictures of my roomba. It's quite cute in person, but unfortunately it comes across as a bit lifeless in pictures. It's a bit camera shy.

"I was wondering whats the best way to make money off of copious amounts of cloth, I have around 600 pieces of Frostweave sitting in the bank."
As was mentioned in the comments yesterday, watch the auction house very closely. Frostweave prices vary wildly because just one person skilling up Tailoring can bleed the market dry, and that's when you can sell some of it off for inflated prices. Don't flood the market with 600 pieces all at once, sell it a few stacks at a time. If you flood the market, you're only hurting yourself.
venirxy asked...
"I'm getting close to dinging 80 and I'll be raiding with some friends. The only problem is I don't know all the strategies for bosses and I need a good website to find them at. What is a good site that has a complete list of boss strategies?"
Your mileage with these sites may vary due to guilds tailoring strategies to their playstyle or composition, but the best one out there is Bosskillers.com by far. You can get some strategies on Wowwiki.com as well, and sometimes in our raiding column Ready Check. Overall, though? BossKillers is where you want to go.
Lunchbox asked...
"I was wondering, I noticed there was no quest for 'Contributing to the Cause' at the Argent Tournament today. Has it been removed? And shouldn't it give rep?"
Contributin' to the Cause is a Champion level daily quest, so if you're not a Champion yet, it won't be available to you. If you are a Champion, Blizzard recently pushed a fix to this quest so that it won't display if you're already Exalted with the Argent Crusade. I guess the kid is afraid to ask people who are already awesome for money.

Laynne Apr 23rd 2009 4:12PM
Ooh yeah, you never updated us on which name won the poll.
Robert M Apr 23rd 2009 4:29PM

Im pretty sure Nombercules won. If not, then its the end of the world as we know it, and i feel fine.
ZuWhowho Apr 23rd 2009 4:43PM
But what about the Kennel!? And tell us what sound it makes on all the diffrent floor surfaces!
Ed Apr 23rd 2009 5:02PM
I want to know if you've yet purchased a roomba dueling harness! (Sorry, relatively obscure xkcd reference, but since reading it I've always wanted to buy one just for that.)
Kakistocracy Apr 23rd 2009 5:04PM
And what are its dreams, goals, and aspirations? Does it get along well with the other electronics? Are you concerned that that it might be planning to establish some sort of junta?
ZuWhowho Apr 23rd 2009 5:14PM
I can't tell if you're being serious or not Kaki!

To Venirxy- Tankspot.com is also a great resource for any class looking to learn Boss fights. The site as a whole is geared towards tanks, but they're boss videos are geared toward the raid as a whole.

This guy beat me to my comment. The jerk. The incredibly correct jerk.
Igorek Apr 23rd 2009 4:56PM
Damnit, yes, TANKSPOT.COM is a fantastic site. I especially love their youtube videos, concise easy to understand strategies for the whole raid.
Ohtarello Apr 23rd 2009 5:26PM
This. Plus, Ciderhelm's voice is intensely relaxing. I think I've power napped off of him explaining the Four Horsemen.

I'll add a +1 for Tankspot and the guys voice being very good for explaining stuff. While BRK's video's were amusing, the voice was often a hindrance to me paying attention.
Tankspot is a great resource. (And I wish there were more like it.)
AyaJulia Apr 23rd 2009 6:33PM
I was coming to these comments just to scold Alex for not going to Tankspot. :\

Not mentioning Tankspot.com is an incredible. Kinda like forgetting to recommend Petopia for people looking for sites about hunter pets.
jbodar Apr 23rd 2009 8:01PM
1000 times, yes. I LOVE the Tankspot video series.
Rollo Apr 23rd 2009 9:26PM
There are also boss strategies at tankspot.

Best WoW video strategy guides on teh interwebz, IMO. Made by tanks, made for everyone. Perfect. Just go and watch them, that's all you need.
Nadril Apr 23rd 2009 4:20PM
Yup, their videos are great.

venirxy,
although you didn't specifically ask it, dinging 80 does not automatically qualify you as being raid-ready, whether you know the boss fights or not. it is extremely frustrating trying to pug fills for naxx25 only to find people in questing/boe greens and blues. please do your friends the courtesy of first running regular level 80 dungeons to get geared for heroics, then do heroics to get geared for raids. your friends will thank you.
