The Queue: Paladins, and Shamans, and Roombas, oh my!

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky will be your host today.
I'm very glad today is Friday. It means that... well, all it really means is that we'll work on weekend content for WoW Insider tonight. We should have some great Noblegarden content coming out on Saturday and Sunday, so keep an eye out for that. And then of course there's the constant bug fixes and hoopla around patch 3.1.1abc. Talking about bug fixes everyday is a blast I tell ya, a blast.
Catiya asked...
"Is there any reason that JC, fishing and cooking are the only professions with daily quests? I love those dailies and I feel more profession specific dailies would enhance the professions themselves."
I suspect that there will be more profession dailies added in later. Some of the professions have rather expensive items to make or obtain, so I'd think a few new recipes would have to be added in or some general retooling would need to be done first.
Dezel asked...
"Can Paladins tank now?"
Paladins are great tanks who can do everything in the game. They really excel at multimob tanking and are (dare I say) the preferred tank for very fast and easy heroic runs.
Eric asked...
"I hit the champion level and now I have all these quests to be a valiant for other cities, will taking one of these prohibit me from doing the champions dailies or can I work on my next city while being a champion for my current city?"
Completing the valiant dailies for another city will not cause you have to give up your champion dailies. You can do both at the same time.
ZuWhowho asked...
"What!? We want to hear everything about your Roomba! What did you call it in the end?"
Alex followed the results of the poll and named his Roomba Nombercules.
People send us email each week asking...
"Is WoW Insider hiring? Where can I send in my article to be posted?"
All of our writers are contracted and unfortunately we do not accept outside work. We are not currently looking for more writers, but if you would like to send in an application, we will consider it next time we expand our staff. You can find the application guidelines here.
Alternately, you can start a blog (directions and advice here) and post your article there, then send us the link and we will consider spotlighting your piece if we find it meets our standards.

What about Shamans?
Adam Holisky Apr 24th 2009 5:08PM
Ah haha...
Yeah, there was a questions about shamans that I pulled at the last minute because I wanted to do more research on it. But alas the title wasn't changed.
/facepalm.
skreeran Apr 24th 2009 5:16PM
Yeah, I was wondering about that too :P
skreeran Apr 24th 2009 5:21PM
Lemme guess, the question was "Why did Blizzard give almost everything that was fun about shamans to death knights and make them even better?"
Haha.
Ha...
Dashifen Apr 25th 2009 5:17PM
You know ... I didn't even notice. Had you (or someone else) not said something....
Saint Apr 24th 2009 8:17PM
Damnit Adam! There goes your Pulitzer Prize.

I got all excited because I thought us shammies would get some queue love. Now I'm just disappointed. :(
Keyra Apr 24th 2009 9:55PM
Shamans now have the Nombercules talent which gives you a 65% chance of critical cleanup when active, but you need to first clean the rollers and empty the dirt bin.

"Completing the valiant dailies for another city will not cause you have to give up your champion dailies. You can do both at the same time."
My question is if you start being a valiant of another city, can you still purchase the items (pet, mount etc) of the first city, or do you loose the ability to purchase items from them?
Eric Apr 24th 2009 5:48PM
Oh, thats even more pressing. Before I go home and start working on other factions I'd love to know that answer (I'm assuming its the same but I'm not so sure I'm willing to risk it).
Eric Apr 24th 2009 6:12PM
Ok so I went ahead and became a valiant of another faction and viola! I still can buy from my original city, experimenting ROCKS! Go science!
Angus Apr 25th 2009 12:18AM
I am currently a valiant with T-bluff and can still buy things from silvermoon.
I believe ALL the vendors will be opened up as you champion each in turn.
aydinn Apr 24th 2009 5:31PM
please....please....please......no other dailies like the JC daily. the fact that it takes a new JC a month or two just to get caught up with everyone else is just painful.
KBear Apr 24th 2009 5:35PM
Um... paladins cannot, in fact, do everything in the game. Paladins cannot do ranged DPS.
Only druids can play all four roles.
Rich Apr 24th 2009 5:40PM
Sure they can...
They can judge from 10 yards and Exorcism up to 30yards...
And if the target is under 20% they can Hammer of Wrath too!
Pally range DPS FTW!
:P
A Apr 24th 2009 5:41PM
Just for the fun of pointing this out (not that it's an entirely legitimate spec)... "shockadins" can do ranged dps... and even heal at the same time :-p
KBear Apr 24th 2009 5:47PM
Oh come on, everything EXCEPT our DPS (both types) has been nerfed, give us _something_! :P
Stealthfire Apr 24th 2009 6:13PM
He meant do everything in game as in tank everything in game, I believe.
Marshy Apr 24th 2009 6:33PM
frost DKs are the new AE tanking kings
Naix Apr 24th 2009 5:50PM
I have a question for you...
I was thinking of re-rolling a new character but with the next expansion on the not to distant future. Would it be better to squeeze every drop of fun out of my main or re-roll and always wonder where I could have been if I only kept going?
