Revamped Noblegarden revealed
The seasonal revamped extravaganza that is Noblegarden is due to start tomorrow and the Blues have revealed a little more about the new week-long festival. Yesterday night Zarhym posted on the official forums, revealing some new details as well as linking to a revamped festival page on the official site.
The new Noblegarden (which starts tomorrow) has its origins in a druidic festival, but the modern peoples of Azeroth seem more interested in egg-hunting and scoffing chocolates. Focusing on the starter towns like Brill and Goldshire, it's one of those great festivals which is aimed at newer players as well as die-hard level 80s.
Zarhym promises egg hunts and new daily quests as well the chance to find cool items within brightly coloured chocolate eggs. There's also a stack of new achievements (you know you want that Violet Proto-Drake) and if you get sick of eating chocolate you can also use them as currency to buy awesome Noblegarden swag.
WoW Insider will have guides and galleries up tomorrow. Noblegarden runs through next Saturday.

I'm not sure why I get this feeling, but I think Noblegarden starts tomorrow.

oh well, bliz already screwed me with valentine's day. forget their other holidays
mibluvr13 Apr 25th 2009 6:11PM
You really didn't get the Candy Hearts? Even after the nerfs?
Ozmodius Apr 25th 2009 6:27PM
Mine is the same. I got 5 candies on the first bag, then the SAME 5 on the second bag. The next three days (or 40 gifts depending on how you count it) I got NO bags at all.
Still though, I'm going to do all of the other holidays full out so that, come next February, I get my damn 310% mount.

I have all the achievements done so far for the drake, even before the nerfs from all the QQ but I really don't feel like doing this one and then straight into Children's Week...
revengemoon Apr 25th 2009 6:21PM
yes as much as a "suprise" as it is alot of us didnt get the candy hearts.

I wish they'd put the holiday events outside of Orgrimmar. Having to stay in Undercity is painful.
Calophi Apr 25th 2009 6:37PM
Ugh, really? That sucks. I hate Undercity; makes me glad I'm alliance. =D
Kalerender Apr 25th 2009 6:41PM
There's nothing in the capitals? All the egg hunting is done in the first 'town' in each races starter area.
So Brill, Falconwing Square, Razor Hill and Bloodhoof Village for the Horde, same for the Alliance.

The good news, is that this holiday looks fairly easy and I heard in the Oceanic Realms, some people are already done with it and said it only takes less then a hour if you are lucky and get most of the items in the eggs instead of buying them, and I could agree.
People have done the math, and apparently if you get all the dresses and rabbits and what not in the eggs, you only need 105 chocolates, 100 for eating, and 5 to get the egg that you hide in the city.

why.... why during finals week!?!?
Keamy Apr 25th 2009 7:06PM
Amen to this. People saying this won't take long is quite a relief. Juggling this and two exams is going to be hellish. Want hat 310 mount though... it must be done.
SaintStryfe Apr 25th 2009 7:12PM
for the greater good. ::salute:: one big paper here/

My finals are spread out over the next 2 weeks so at least my second week of exams should be ok.
Hmmm, whats that? Childrens week?.....oh bugger.

Be prepared for a boring long grind.
Yeah, you can get the grinding part done in an hour, if you're on during the dead zones.
There are 4 newbie areas, now imagine everyone who wants this flooding these towns all hunting for tiny lil coloured eggs at once.
I salute Blizzard and their ability to make seasonal events un-enjoyable grind fests who's only joy is when it's over and you can ignore it for the rest of your life (or until they add more achieves).
Personally I would've added a couple of daily's you could do so you could do a little bit each day to get your rewards, with egg hunting for the extreme, all this meta-achievement is demonstrating is my ability to ride around Brill in circles picking up eggs before other people do.
Saint Apr 25th 2009 9:27PM
Except with the reports that it takes an hour to two hours to finish the grinding.
Research before QQing. Please.

I play on an Oceanic server nowadays and I'm already done Noblegarden. YAWN. Bring on Children's Week.
Ella Apr 25th 2009 6:50PM
When does this start for European realms? It says 00.01 am in the event calender but it's 00.43 now and haven't started yet. Maybe 03.00?
Ella Apr 25th 2009 9:34PM
It seems like it has started now finally. :) Nevermind my post.
