Saturday's in-game fixes: Threeve

I think the in-game fixes should be ending soon, or at least not be noteworthy enough for the blues to announce every day. Last night there were only three announced, which we list after the break. But more interesting I think than the bankruptcy of Ghostly Philanthropists is the number of fixes announced each day, which is displayed in the nice graphic above.
There is a spike of fixes on April 21st, which was this past Tuesday. That is likely due to two reasons. First, patch 3.1.1 was released and many of the changes had to be done via a client side patch and by some realm maintenance. Secondly, there were not any fixes released during the weekend of April 18th, so a few days of bug-e-ness went by.
Just by looking at the graph you can tell there's about an average of 13 or so fixes per day, and that number is steadily dropping.
Hopefully this means that the bugs are going away too, and overall things are becoming more stable in-game.

The announced changes after the break!
- Glyph of Overpower will now properly provide a 100% chance to enable Overpower after a parry.
- Ghostly Philantropists have gone broke and will now drop zero gold.
- Replenishmen

We still have guildies losing talent points when they switch specs. Anyone esle?
Mcdreamy Apr 25th 2009 1:11PM
Not just when we change specs. I have a lvl 22 hunter bank alt that doesn't have dual specs (obviously too low), but still has randomly lost his talent points twice since 3.1.1 hit. It takes a respec to make them appear.
Thander Apr 25th 2009 1:19PM
Most of the talent bugs were fixed but there is still one outstanding where your talents are empty but you still have all the bonuses and no points to spend. This happened to 2 of my alts. When the GM fixed it, he said they were still trying to fix the bug and would continue issuing free respecs to bugged characters while they work on it.

With duel spec, I find that some of the talents appear to be missing, but function as there only as long as I am using that spec, if I change to the other, then change back, I have to reassign the points.

This has been happening regularly with my shammy. Primary spec is elemental, and the secondary one is resto. Every time I switch to from ele to resto to heal a dungeon, I have to reallocate her resto points. The ele points seem to be fine, though.
Cyanea Apr 26th 2009 5:12AM
My Shammy has the EXACT same problem, except that she's Resto and Enhance.

Bugs still exist..
Leviroth still has NOT re-spawned. After a kill at appx 9:45 am this morning, no re-spawn. My pot of UW breathing lasted just an hr. I waited 30 mins.. no re-spawn.. so went off and did a new other quests. checked back over there every 1/2 hr or so.. no re-spawn.
Methimks the restart this mornign broke sumpin, as allegedly (from Guildmates), AH and mail was fubar to some extent.

Awwww, I loved the philantropists in Kara. They made taking the correct route from Opera to the back door worth it.

"Ghostly Philantropists have gone broke and will now drop zero gold."
Wow. The economy is bad all over!

Charitable contributions tend to be one of the first things to drop.

Plz fix maly blizz. We keep falling off the drakes for no reason
Palatel Apr 25th 2009 1:23PM
You are probably just dieing.
Vektorix Apr 25th 2009 1:34PM
Undocumented (that I have seen) changes to Malygos include the elimination of the ability of warlocks to teleport out of the Vortex using Demonic Circle, and the elimination of the ability of a warlock sacrificing him/herself at the beginning of phase 3 to apply Curse of Elements on Malygos.
While I can't complain about the latter, since it was clearly an unintended "exploit", the former had been a warlock tactic since Wrath was released, and it seems odd to fix it after the content has become, if not irrelevent, LESS relevent.

No, he's actually right. Last week on the night before the instance reset, a couple of my guild members and I got a few PuG people and headed into 10-man. It was actually a really good group, getting him into phase 3 with 6 minutes to spare on the enrage timer. But as soon as phase 3 started and the platform broke and we landed on our drakes, they despawned, and the entire raid fell to their deaths, before Malygos was even engaged again. This happened three times in a row before we called it.
Now, cut to yesterday, after the instance reset, patches full of fixes, several server restarts, etc. I did a guild run while waiting on one of healers to log on so we could hit up Ulduar, got him into phase 3 with plenty of time to spare, and the drakes seemed to be working. We got Malygos down to about 10% when all the drakes yet again despawned. However, this time they picked us up again, but when we were back up, we were all in melee range of him, and he proceeded to kill us off pretty quickly before we could figure out what happened.
So no, he wasn't just dying. This is an actual bug, which as of yesterday (4-24-09) had not been fixed.

I prefer my answer, thanks.
