Noblegarden is finally here and, boy, is it addictive! Knowing how everyone would be swarming all over Kharanos and Goldshire, I headed for the most isolated, least visited starter town I could think of: Azure Watch. On my low-population server, there were only about another five people after eggs and once you start spotting them hunting becomes insanely addictive. There are already people with their
Spring Rabbit's Foot and the rest have just been turned into purple bunnies. I'm not sure if the latter is cute or just weird.
Personally, I'm just ambling along and doing what achievements I can, there's no hope of me getting the
Violet Proto-Drake this year. But, I want to know which part of Noblegarden are you folks are most looking forward to?

You missed out "The Noble" option from the poll
JJV Apr 26th 2009 1:17PM
I just hit "the noble" 40 min ago :D
volicio Apr 26th 2009 7:09PM
I really wish blizzard had made the title "The Noble ..." insted of "... the Noble"
Elchemist Apr 26th 2009 8:16AM
i already finished everything, took about 4 hours, guess i got lucky on the random drops, oh well, guess i can look forward to orphan week and the terrible school of hard knocks achievement.
Gemini Apr 26th 2009 5:46PM
That achievement's been removed. You're okay.
Gemini Apr 26th 2009 5:47PM
Whoops, never mind. It was the Once An Orphan.. achievement that got removed.

The hunting for eggs might be the single most annoying quest blizz has ever come up with. /facepalm while trying to get an egg with 50 little bunnies all running around going for the same one.
qoa Apr 26th 2009 8:19AM
It getting over so I don't have to hear about it.

I must say I really enjoyed this holiday (I've already gotten the title), due to the fact that a lot of the annoyances of the previous world events have been remedied quite well.
For instance the class/race combo has been reduced to simply gender race which is so much eaiser.
The RNG cant hate you too much as your not limited to one hour pickups, and some of the items you can just buy.
The actual grind task to get the items is fun and interactive, yeah okay it can be annoying as hell, but its fun when you have you own cache of eggs which noone else knows about.
Also the towns transform in a way thats never been done before, instead of actual in your face scenery changes its simply overrun with hundreds of pink zooming bunnies (and the pet bunnies), it makes a wonderful dynamic effect which is nice.
The "got to y number of locations" has been made easier as its entire zones instead of specific places, which is handy as hell.
The reliance on other people helping you out (like hallows-eve had) is significantly reduced to just needing one person once (for hard boiled).
And you get to place your own eggs (although at a stupid mark up and cool down, but I guess thats to stop people just trading them or making the hunting superfluous, they could have made it so the eggs placed didnt count towards any achievements and it wouldve been a lot better).
All in all its a much more friendly and well rounded holiday, it gets my thumbs up!

I agree. It's a lot of fun. I just bought my spring rabbit, and I have all the other items that the vendor sells. I'm a couple achievements away from my first title. :D
Futue Apr 26th 2009 8:20AM
Hehe 2 highest votes.
Everyone wants the cool Proto-drake.
The people who aren't bothered are the ones who haven't kept up to date with the achievements then :P

After 5 hours of grinding away at this I have everything but 4 of the horde females to bunnify, but there were only a dozen or so people in dal cause my server's so low pop, figure I'll get them when I log on later. It took me 396 eggs to get the tux shirt for the achievement (the discovering one, I bought one before that for the blushing bride achievement, just to get it out of the way). Thank god it's not required for the meta so just us crazy people need to get it.
KIT Apr 26th 2009 12:07PM
I have everything but the 100 chocolates (too many egg campers, not worth my time right now) and a Dwarf female... Those are way too scarce on my server! :-(
Vael Apr 26th 2009 11:23AM
A key one that you missed, the reason that many mages and alt-mages will be participating, is the Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit. 100 chocolate pieces isn't too much of a time investment, and I was able to get mine in the first 30 minutes of the holiday. :-D
Risqtish Apr 26th 2009 8:34AM
One of the nicest holidays, you don't have to reply on too much rng ^^
Also, very quick to finish!
Rai Apr 26th 2009 8:43AM
The fact that I'm done and NEVER HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN.
Riley Apr 26th 2009 2:27PM
^this
im tired of running around in circles for hours on end
and even more tired of trying to find a female dwarf (they're apparently very rare, so i can't imagine how much it sucks for them breeding-wise)
volicio Apr 26th 2009 7:09PM
I'm with Riley on this one... >< I've been running circles around dalaran for 2 hours now and stilll no dwarf, its the last ally i need, they atleasy i can find the horde girls more easy in a city like org
obarthelemy Apr 26th 2009 8:46AM

Just got "The Noble" on my character after being at it for almost... six hours. All in all, not 'bad' for an achievement holiday, but I still have one more character to do and the eggs hated me in terms of dropping anything besides chocolate. I had to spend quite alot just to get the robe, flowers, and elegant dress to make it easier for my friends. The whole 'female only' thing is really obnoxious. Some races, specifically undead, tauren, and dwarves, do not have a high amount of females at all. Alot of us spent an hour outside of sunreavers and running to the bank near it trying JUST to get a female undead, and one was only recognized because they had the pig-tail gnome haircut. I will never comment badly on female undead getting that haircut again.
