"Oh no I've been treated badly by Orcs so I hate them all.
Gee, replace Orcs with another race and what demographic of people does that sound like?"
If it isn't painfully obvious by now that current Orcs are being linked to the treatment of African Americans, well I don't know what.
After all, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that...
- Nagrand is based off of Africa
- Orcs were enslaved against their will, like a certain race from Africa
- Orcs used to have brown skin, like a certain race from Africa.
It is kinda very obvious that Blizzard is playing a heavy hand with this. Racism against a fictional race is usually easy for people to rationalize... until you draw very strong parallels between real world races. Then it becomes heavier to stomach.
Blizzard is saying it pretty simply...
"If you hate orcs, you are an IRL African hating racist"
