Just a glorified Easter egg hunt.

I now know what Easter in Hell will be like.
Its called Noblegarden.

I can't agree more, gettin shake ya bunny maker was a day I'll never get back plus hearing all the egg campers whine about having their spots stolen
Noid Apr 27th 2009 8:30PM
Worst idea ever. Camping for stupid eggs...people taking your camp spot. All over you see "Get out of my spot". Its getting pretty annoying. Its not even worth it.

At first I thought the same. Surprisingly, while Goldshire was "Campers only", "Azure Watch" was working as intended - just people hunting eggs (running around like crazy, bunnys on speed). Therefore the pain in gathering all the eggs was rather small.
I didn't get a tuxedo shirt but that was no problem as that is not part of the achievement (thanks blizzard).

No reason to camp. Just get a little route going and find those random spots and steal them form all the campers who are only half paying attention. This has been by far the easiest meta for the mount yet.

On my main i tried camping.
It was rubbish, it's a significantly worse idea than fishing(Which i enjoy) I even found a spot where 4 eggs spawned in clsoe proximity and it's just not the best method. Took me a few hours to get 100 which was what i needed for the pet(And the only thing i wanted)
Subsequently i sadly discovered that "The noble" is a title that would suite my alt so i decided to go through it all again. This time he wanted all the achievements so i was erady to have to farm 475 eggs. I decided this time i'd try running around and that i'd try it in Azure Watch, i got my first 50 in less than a hearthstone cooldown, then i hoofed it over to Dolonar for a change of scenery and got another 80 in as much time. Which, due to lucky drops and the rabbit maen ti could just sit down and eat the lot, buy an egg and a tuxedo shirt and i've got a few days left now to mooch about some deserts.
I'd defiantely reccomend running around, camping is too slow a process and i'd equally reccomend Azure Watch, Dolonar and even Kharanos over Goldshire for the alliance. I actually found Kharanos to be the quitest in the end oddly.(On my server)
The flower planting, bunny maker and other achievements don't appear to have a "During the noblegarden event" disclaimer, out of curiosity anyone know whether these achievements can be achieved outside of the world event?

Simply putting these eggs in areas where there were wandering mobs would have solved the issue of campers. Heck, even low level mobs...stupid Campergarden.

I've gathered a couple hundred eggs so far, 1/2 by camping a spot and 1/2 by turbo bunny hopping all around. I have yet to see anyone complaining about camping or beating others to an egg, and after talking with guildies none of them have, either.
This is one of my favourite world events so far! I love how you can buy the stuff you need for the title using the chocolate eggs.
The fun part is racing around and trying to get to eggs first! If I don't get there first there are plenty of other places to race around to. Although camping one spot is probably the most efficient if the area is really busy.

Agreed. All things considered, this is probably the most fun of any of the holidays.
I dunno why so many people have a stick up their bums over this holiday.

Your experience doesn't necessarily reflect that of someone on a different server.
It's not so bad on my server during off hours, but during peak hours it gets ugly.
On a side note, my favorite part of the event has been planting Noblegarden Eggs in the path of the bomblings before Mimiron while my guild works progression on him. "Oooh, an egg! *BOOM*"
Jeverage Apr 27th 2009 9:06PM
I'm not hating the event, I was prepared for dealing with people camping spawns and what-not.
The only thing that really annoys me is how the Spring Flowers have a 5-minute cooldown...Just seems like a needless way to artificially make the achievement longer.
Noid Apr 27th 2009 8:58PM
Maybe its just my realm.

I had fun farming eggs (got the Polymorph: Rabbit spell), and encountered only a little bit of whining along the way. I figure if they wanna "camp" a spot, good luck to them, but the eggs respawn often enough that first-come, first-snatched is my baseline behavior.
The most fun I've had with it so far was being bunnified, then going up to the Argent Tournament and jousting from the back of an Elekk. I was hard to see, and the shields around me were practically invisible. I'll need to do that again and see how it works for jousting against other players.

I think the hardest part was laying an egg.
My butt still hurts.
Cephas Apr 27th 2009 9:48PM
Nothing Nobel? As in Alfred Nobel? Or did you mean Noble?
Adam Holisky Apr 27th 2009 9:49PM
Is there anything thing Nobel about Noblegarden?
rich Apr 27th 2009 10:08PM
Pretty sure the drop rate on those Elegant Dresses are about the same as Nobel Prizes.
Cephas Apr 27th 2009 10:10PM
The question doesn't make sense, Nobel is a noun! Noble is an adjective. Nobel is a Swedish chemist who invented dynamite and established the Nobel prize. So I guess, there's nothing Swedish chemist-y about Noblegarden? I just really confused myself. I'm going to go take a nap now.

The only thing that bothered me about the holiday was people who'd grunt "My spot" when you shared a camp with them (since every camp already had at least one person)... my usual response was "Cool!" or "Really?" Then they'd insult me a bit, and eventually eat a gigantic feast and pop on a mammoth. Folks like that are the reason why I'd like some sort of cross-faction PVP.
(Instead, I had to settle for baby spice - they were so busy dispelling the baby spice and yelling at me that I was faster on the clicking, which just made them angrier...)
