This is akin to something that happened to my family.
My father was on medication after he got shot in Afghanistan, and he was sent a certain amount of money to pay for his perscription.
One month, the company that was paying for his medication deposited a larger amount of money than normal. We didn't see it as anything too big, as the numbers varied a litte every month, and with my dad outta commission, we could use the extra cash (I am the oldest of 7 children). It wasn't until later that we found out that the company had meant to deposit the extra money in a different account, and they were demanding the entire amount paid back in full.
Needless to say, we didn't have it, we had spent it on food. It took us almost a year to pay it off, and we didn't even do anything.
Blizzard did this same thing. They made a mistake and used their status as judge, jury and executioner to slap a knee-jerk banhammer onto someone who didn't even cause any damage.
