"These analogies are ridiculous. You are all talking about morals and cheating in a video game that features Ganking, Camping, Node Camping, Pick Pocketing and Killing other players."Yes.What is your point?Even war has ethics and rules of engagement. As for the sports analogy with performance enhancing drugs, I have two points I'd like to make about that:1. Sports matter as much to me as WoW. It's as relevant to me as WoW. It's as real to me as WoW. I don't see ANY reason to make one more "important" than the other. To me, olympic athletes, baseball stars and the world they live in, is as much a fantasy world as the world of warcraft. It's not real... Not in any way that WoW isn't also.It has no impact on my life in any way, that WoW doesn't also have.2. Cheating puts you ahead of the rest of the competitors, regardless of which world we are talking about. So I'm glad to see that you also do not condone cheating. But knowingly or not, that is what happened."I was banned, on my first infraction, without question or consideration. I'll cope with that."I admire you.I wouldn't be able to.That's probably why I would have contacted a GM immediately, to make certain that this wasn't a mistake."Banning everyone else, people who weren't even involved has always been the focus of my ire with this situation."I can see your point. I too believe that Blizzard should probably look a little further into the matter to make sure no innoncents were banned in the fallout.
