I'm going to have to say suck it up and deal with it. It's a week. If a bunch of people running around and doing things that are against strategy for a week really ruins your experience in the game so much, perhaps you should find something else to do. Or go do Wintergrasp, or Strand of the Ancients.

That being said, I found the achievment really quite easy...mount up, run fast, hope you're near a paladin for Crusader Aura, and then leave the battleground once you've gotten the achievement. Done.
