Around Azeroth: Fail to the king

Kids grow up so fast these days. Anduin Wrynn has apparently undergone some interesting facial surgeries, or possibly severe hormonal problems. Chris writes in that this graphical bug appeared while alt-tabbing from iTunes to WoW. Who knew that the future king of Stormwind harbored a secret desire to become an XBOX 360 avatar?

I suppose that's possible, but these texture bugs are actually a lot more common that you'd imagine with the wrong sort of graphics card/driver, so I'm definitely giving the submitter the benefit of the doubt.
It's hilarious, but I also hope I'm not the only one who would be creeped out, alt-tabbing back to that. :P

A friend and I were sitting at the tournament grounds and both alt tabbed to work on something. When he tabbed back to wow, he took a few screenshots of my female night elf druids face that and sent to them to me via gtalk. It looked like my druids face was a mesh of a male orc, male night elf, and male undead (one of the faces without the jaw).
No photoshop needed.

It isn't Photoshopped, I've had the same problem with player skins switching with others. It's a bit more terrifying when it's a female Night Elf with male Human skin though.

It's much more plausible that male Human skin, which is an in-game texture could end up on your Night Elf than the head in this picture which, as far as I know, does not appear anywhere in World of Warcraft.
To me it looks like a Photoshop, albeit a good one.

It looks like an NPC texture (bald human male with black hair and a beard wearing a white robe) stretched over the human male child model which Anduin uses.
Why you'd think it was a photoshop, of all things, is beyond me, but there has been quite a few examples of texture map bugs like this, usually caused when alt+tabbing.

I'm interested in learning more about this "bug" some before and after shots showing models with correct textures and with messed up or incorrect textures would be nice.

I've seen the graphics bug more times than I'd like to admit. Most recently, on a human male who had a human female face:

At least... I think it was a human female. Now that I look again, I'm not entirely sure.
And no, these were not photoshopped in any way, save for cropping out the rest of my UI.

Looks like the Bishop from SW cathedral to me. Maybe Anduin got the wrong NPC skin?
