What is your point, exactly? Simply saying something doesn't make it a fact.

You do the more challenging fight, you get better gear. You don't do the more challenging fight, you don't get the better gear. There's nothing "cheap" about that mechanic at all.

It makes the content accessible for everyone whilst still letting the hardcore players get access to the best gear.
