What a horrible idea.Half the people can't play their classes now, so you want to give them insta 80's?If people are too lazy to level Alts they don't deserve them.

The same argument was made when Dk's were being offered at level 55.In short, no matter how long they play a character, stupid will always find a way....

"The same argument was made when Dk's were being offered at level 55."Yeah, and you know what? The vast majority of pugs I've lead since Wrath the DK ended up being the most utterly moronic waste of pixels in the group. It has gotten to the point where I will actively avoid inviting a DK to a pug, and the times when I make an exception, the whole thing is proven again. At least if somebody is forced to level from L1 they treat their game and their reputation with a bit of respect. When they can roll a L55 on a whim with an epic mount and full blue items, none of it means anything to them.

You guys do realize that in order to make a death knight, you had already needed a level 55? That mean to make one, it was required that you had already invested a lot of your life into the game. Honestly though, I wonder exactly how long people have to play in order to not be noobs in your eyes? A week played time? A month? 20 hours everyday? Nonstop? Some of you need lives.

offday, you're missing an important part of the DK. The original idea for DK was to kill one of your characters and convert it to a DK. Blizzard changed their mind during development and instead gave you a new toon that was killed and made into a DK. The level requirement/boost is there to reflect your DK's old life (guess you haven't made a DK or read any of the quest lines.)

Blizzard won't do this because that is the whole point of the Hero Class.Let's not forget though, DKs were a new class with a new resource mechanic. Most people have played alongside the other classes for quite some time and have an idea of how they work, either through adventuring with them or fighting them in PVP. They are "familiar" with the mechanics of Rage, Mana, and Energy, if not intimately so.

Far as I know, it was never the plan to "kill" a character to make a DK. That was just something people assumed was the case, and then spread as if it were the truth.
