This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, leveling's a pain, but Christ how easy do you want this game to be? Do you want everything handed to you?So quit whining and level your alt like everyone else. If it's hard for you, tough luck. There are a million other games out there. They can cater to your QQ needs.

There is a drastic difference between making the game ~too easy~, and getting rid of the mind-numbing tedium of killing 475 boars to get to Level 8, so you can dash to your trainer on foot at 1.6 miles an hour just to learn the new ability "Hit Stuff (Rank 2)".I for one can promise you that I don't want the game to be easy. I want the challenge. I want to earn the stuff I have in the game. I want people to know that I dedicated a good amount of time and effort into earning something, which I might add, is why I proudly wear my Shattered Sun tabard anytime I'm not rep farming in a heroic (plus it's just s@k-c to look at). I don't get runs from 80s with my toons, if I go into a dungeon with my alts it's with appropriate level people and we're going to work to get it done. That being said, I hate the grind just to level. It's not that it's hard, rather, it's stupefyingly easy for the most part, my issue is that it's nothing but tedious. I already know the lore. I've already killed that same boar in that same spot and gotten that same loot half a dozen times already. I don't want easy, I want something new. This is especially a problem for me with classes that have extremely limited abilities at low levels. I have tried to level a paladin a number of times, but the old "select judgement, let auto-attacks kill it, loot, repeat" process of the 1-15ish grind left me bored to tears. Same with druids and shamans, the "1,1,1,1, loot, run, 1,1,1,1" system is boring. Sure it gets better, but having to go through that mindless junk endless times to try to get to the good stuff has ended up in more deleted toons than I care to count. Some people are saying get rid of Vanilla all together, with which I do not agree, but at the same time saying that everyone who doesn't enjoy leveling is lazy and wants a hand out is idiotic and insulting.Saying that it takes 55 levels to learn the basics of how to play your class is equally so, since a) many of your spec defining abilities are not even available until after 55 and b) if it really takes you more than a handful of random mob fights to learn the basics of how a certain spell works, then you really need to study the tool-tips harder.Saying that the 1-55 grind teaches you class roles in just as inane, given the fact that it's nigh impossible to find a group for most vanilla dungeons unless you're getting a run from a friend of guildie. And being a loot vacuum who can barely loot fast enough to keep up with the 80 killing troggs in RFC does not teach you a damned thing about your class.I don't want to see vanilla go away, I want to see it fixed where there's a reason to do it other than being filler to get to what you want. It would help people that want another high level toon by giving them more to enjoy along the way, and it would help new players by getting more experienced people active in the starter and mid-level zones who CAN mentor them and show them the proper way to play the class. As to how this can be done, I don't really know. Maybe get rid of the group XP nerf when you're with people of the same level, and ramp up the XP nerf the higher the toon in your group. Nothing says lazy to me like seeing "wtb rfc run, paying 5g" on the trade channel, day in and day out. If people actually had to group with other like levels to get quests and dungeons done, you might see a lot more friends making lowbies to run together, instead of getting it handed to them by an 80.Maybe make a system where when your little alt gets to a certain level, say lvls 20, 40 and 60, he gets a BoA token that can be sent to another toon, your 80 for example, that buffs the 80 in some way. Like heirloom items, but the other direction. Make it so leveling a little guy can actually improve your performance on your main. For example, at lvl 20, your alt creates a unique token that can be used once like a rep commendation that increases str or sp or agi by 5, then at lvl 40 he makes one that does the same, but by 10 points, and it can be used on any toon you have to buff them, and so on. Make it so if the alt gets deleted, the buff does as well.Make it worth it to level, make the journey the destination, so to speak.
