i don't see why blizz can't limit the data transfers in WG...do i really need to know what armor my teammates/opponents have? no. correct me if i'm wrong here, but the server needs that info to do the combat calculations...i personally don't need to know (if the population is over a certain number, just put in filler armor or something)do i need to know their title? heck no.do i need to know what the guy beside me is emoting? no.point is, there's data out there they can be limited in WG. the server needs it, but does the client? make it zone specific and put a population cap on it...say anytime there's over 100 players in the zone, stop sending non-essential data.

I like the basic idea of this, but I do consider the armor of my opponents kinda important. On Vek'Nilash (EU) the lag in WG is not so bad, but I guess the tenacity buff on all alliance there might give an indication to why. When they face a half-bit organised horde, they never get enough vehicules to launch a propper assualtn, while the horde soon has a full grid of vehicules, and some talented gunners on the walls.
