I think the problem with the involvement of the Argent Tournament is that it is so disconnected from everything else. There is one NPC in Dalaran for it... that's it.

With 2.4, the party involved with Sunwell was also involved in Outland. There is no involvement of Dalaran with the Argent Tournament, at least none that I've witnessed. With Ulduar it's the same thing.

Shattrath was involved in everything... Dalaran isn't. With Shattrath, we had NPCs that were training to fight Illidan, then they changed to train to fight and retake the Sunwell. In Dalaran, the mages sit around and talk, their involvement is minimal.
