The mounted fights with the npcs are a little buggy with range discrepancies, but even with the bugs, I've only lost once, and that was while I was learning what the buttons do. Normally I don't even have to use the heal between any of the four fights.

So, it does get boring, but if you thing it's hard, you're doing it wrong.
