Wow - most of these comments remind me why I am glad I dont raid. I already have a job and all raiding sounds like to me (from these kind of posts at least) is one big chore. I guess being a raider takes a certain mentality that is gratified by conforming to the standards set by others. To me that would suck all the fun out of the game.I am not saying there shouldnt be raiding (or that raiders suck) but it sure dosent sound like something I would ever strive for. I am just glad Blizzard is making sure there is plenty to do for *all* playstyles at 80.

I'm with you on this one. I don't raid as a rule. I enjoy leveling characters to 80 and working on the professions and some of the achivments. I get asked if I want to join a raid once in a while and since dual spec is out, it makes it easier to move from one build to the other, but I make it clear I'm spec'ed the way I play best. I'm not going to make changes because they heard somewhere that taking one point from X and putting it in Y will make things better or that playing Unholy isn't as good as playing Blood. Sorry, when you get me you get Unholy or Frost. It's what I like. It's what I play. Take me or leave me alone. I'll always have something better to do anyway. LOL!

I don't get people that whine when someone criticizes a build (mostly if they're in a group). The fact is builds pretty much play the same way as long as you are picking up key talents. I don't see why someone would drag their feet and not take something that was a bigger DPS upgrade over another talent. I mean, you are going to be doing the same rotation, the same attacks, the same everything. The only difference is something like arc vs frost vs fire mages, which really all 3 can be viable to some degree. In fact pretty much any spec can be a viable raid spec so it just seems like the people complaining aren't that justified. And really maybe that is my mentality, but why is it so much more fun to play a butchered spec on purpose? I mean, do you enjoy doing poorly or something? I know that, personally, when I play a game I play it to do well. I choose something that fits my playstyle and then I learn how to play with that playstyle as best as possible, including what is the best talent spread to pick up for it.

Some people think they're a wase of talant points. I find them very useful for my playstyle. I also like Unholy vs. Blood. The playstyle of Blood is not the same for me. You would not believe how many people want to give me their advice on how much better the blood build is. I've played both and like Unholy better. I totally don't understand why people think one build is better than another? If that's the case, then Blizz should just me it that when you level, you are automatically given the power in line and forget about giving people choices. Then they should program it so your rotation in an attack is preprogrammed too so all you have to do it hit "T" and the cycle begins. Doesn't that sound like it would be a fun game then???
